MEADOW RUE PICTURE DAY

Picture day will be on March 18, 2026

Preparing for picture day

Images will be taken outdoors, weather permitting. Assume portrait day is happening unless we have active precipitation, temperatures under 45 degrees, or wind over 12 MPH.

We do our best to encourage authentic smiles and fun energy from the students. Occasionally, happy pictures are just not possible. Stoic is also beautiful! Don’t be bummed if your child decides not to smile for photos, it’s okay! Some of my very favorite photos of kids are unsmiling.

Here’s how to prepare:

  • Bright colors are great for photos

  • Avoid neon/dayglow colors and shirts with big words

  • Photos are usually close-up, so focus on clothing above the waist, but we usually get a few pics of the whole body.

  • If your child wears transitions eyewear, please bring a pair of regular, glare-resistant glasses to school for portrait day or remove the glasses for pictures.  Transitions lenses look like sunglasses outdoors, great for the eyes, not so great for photos.

  • Wipe face, comb hair, straighten clothing right before you send your child to the photographer. We are unable to provide hair combs and face cleaning.

  • Tell your child this is going to be fun!

Photo Package Pricing

You will have the option to choose your favorite from 3-5 images. Pricing is based on a digital download. You can purchase one digital file, all digital files, or digital file(s) plus prints. Your child’s image will be printed at my professional printing lab using only the finest materials available. If purchased by the order deadline, your prints will be delivered to the school with no shipping fees. Want more than one image? You can add multiple packages and a la carte products to your cart.
